How to Obtain a Water Sample for Testing

Water testing allows you to monitor your pool's chemical balance over time.

Why is this important? Unbalanced pH and chlorine levels can lead to algae growth, skin and eye irritation in the short term, and in the long-term can damage your pool equipment and plumbing.

Knowing what to test and when is crucial for avoiding significant pool issues down the line.

To obtain a water sample, hold your water sample bottle upside down, elbow deep in a section of the pool that is away from the return jets and the skimmer opening. This will ensure a random sample of your pool water is tested, most accurately representing the pool water's chemical composition.
